
Made in the Hood is an established site allowing local artists and craftspeople to display their work to a wider online audience. We are based in Woolton Hill, south of Newbury and are open to allartists who are within easy travelling distance of our neighbourhood ("Hood") of Woolton Hill, Ball Hill, Highclere, Penwood and the villages of north Hamphire. We exhibit both as a group and individually as part of the Open Studios Scheme and also at local events.

Arlington Arts Centre is the choice for live music in West Berkshire. Our line-up is always introducing you to up-and-coming blues and folk artists, as well as veteran craftspeople of the scene.Alongside this we have a vibrant programme of Theatre, Dance and Comedy - as well as being available to hire for conferences and the like.

A potted history of Craftsman Newbury Ltd. and Gallery1753 established early 1960′s. Craftsman opened in West Mills in the early 1960's as an art gallery run by Bernard Rose. In the early 70'sthe business moved to 61 Bartholomew St. by Blackboys Bridge and continued to trade as a gallery but added framing and crafts. Bernard was eventually joined by Peter Pope and then Peter's twin brother the late Alan Pope.
