Located in Hampshire at the heart of the beautiful New Forest National Park, our independent gallery has established a reputation for offering a vibrant selection of original paintings, limitededitions and sculpture by contemporary British artists. We are situated at the lower end of Lyndhurst's bustling High Street. Lyndhurst is ideally located north of Brockenhurst and just a few miles from Junction 2 of the M27, Southampton, Bournemouth and Lymington. We have plenty of local parking.
The two art studios are located on the edge of the New Forest one in West Wellow and one in Netley Marsh; both close to Southampton, Romsey and Totton. The studios are well equipped and Pauline andLesley bring lots of experience and enthusiasm to create a friendly, fun atmosphere for classes in all sorts of arts and craft techniques including Drawing, Painting, Pottery and Printmaking.
Filling all three floors of a listed building at 27 Bell Street, Rum's Eg boasts a contemporary gallery with an extensive selection of work including: jewellery, ceramics, paintings, prints, softfurnishings, wooden and glass gifts and an unrivalled selection of greetings cards and design-led gifts. We also have a large creative workshop space and our own Art Cafe serving delicious drinks, homemade cakes and light lunches.
Sculpture, a beautiful ceramic pot or a finely-carved wooden bench have a life and a meaning which cannot be imbued by any manufacturing process. Rachel Bebb has an M.A. in Modern and Contemporary Artfrom Winchester School of Art (Southampton University). She has curated two exhibitions in Salisbury Cathedral, one of sculpture by Peter Eugene Ball, and the other of work by Charlotte Mayer FRBS.
Robert Perera graduated from Cambridge University, England and after working for a leading investment bank set up Robert Perera Fine Art in the south coast Georgian town of Lymington over twenty yearsago. He specialises in 19th & 20th century paintings, etchings, lithographs and linocuts.
