Situated in the centre of the historic market town of Grantham, Phoenix Gallery is a friendly, local art gallery and gift shop which also offers a bespoke framing service. The Guildhall Arts Centre is a community-centred venue that aims to offer its customers innovative, stimulating and quality arts' experiences. Housed in what was Grantham's town hall, jail and sessions hall (see Guildhall History) the Arts Centre is part of Cultural Services provided by South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) along with Stamford Arts Centre and The Bourne Corn Exchange.
Richard is a pencil illustrator, who specialises in military subjects, although he can draw any subject that you may require. His site only shows examples of his work. Established in 1998, Henry Brewer Gallery has forged a rightly deserved reputation for superior craftsmanship and service. Our highly creative bespoke framing service caters for both the individual and corporate client and we offer a 'wide format' Giclee Digital Printing service onto canvas or paper. All work is carried out in house. We work closely with independent artists and publishers; this enables us to offer Nottingham's most diverse and stimulating collection of artworks.
I always enjoyed art at school and had a great teacher but not many options were available to further my artistic education in those days so I ended up working at a local photography studio touching up black and white wedding photographs - yes they were all printed then, including the proofs. On a measely £7 per week I wanted to earn some real money so I went into the exciting world of office work (Insurancea and then sales) until 2007.
Susan Entwistle is one of the few pointillist painters practising their art. Her unique style of painting is created with layers of colourful dots to capture the vibrancy and essence of beautiful gardens, woodlands and landscapes. There are many similarities between creating a textile design that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and creating a pleasing composition in a painting.
We actively consult with local residents, community centers and not-for profit organisations when developing creative outreach projects. We are the only artist- led studio based in one of the most economically deprived areas in Nottingham creating workshops and activities that directly respond to the needs of local audiences.
