
Welcome to Nature in Art, the world's first museum and art gallery dedicated to fine, decorative and applied art inspired by nature. Our unrivalled collection is housed in a fine Georgian mansion,featured in Simon Jenkins's book 'England's 1000 Best Houses', just outside the famous cathedral city of Gloucester.

We are in Quedgeley off the B4008 - 3 miles from Junction 12 of M5. From Junction 12 M5 take the A38 signposted to Gloucester and then the sliproad B4008 to Quedgeley. Turn right at the 2nd Roundaboutinto Quedgeley Retail Park, left at the next roundabout and right by Royal Mail into Space Business Centre. Near to the gallery there is a retail area. A lovely canal to walk along is a short drive away with a canalside pub serving good food.

Art Shape runs a countywide programme of arts courses and projects with a specific focus on disability issues and social inclusion. We target our activities at providing opportunities for adults andchildren facing disabling barriers, particularly learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health service users and survivors, victims of domestic abuse and older people.

Original paintings and limited edition prints by international artist and former pilot Art Cox. Inspired by his love of Aircraft and the world of aviation this Gloucestershire based artist hasproduced a stunning range of artwork depicting many different aircraft from different eras. Having painted many commissions for individuals in different countries Art has now been working on this series of pictures and there are many more to follow.

This website contains a catalogue of 5,000 hand coloured intaglio art prints, individually printed from the original, often antique, etched copper and steel plates. These represent some of the finesttraditional art prints available today, being true archival quality etchings and engravings taken from the original steel and copper plates, printed on custom made acid-free heavy weight paper with many being hand coloured to a very high standard.

Our En Plein Air programme starts is underway so let's all get out there and enjoy painting together. This year we've chosen some of the most wonderful venues in and around the Cotswolds, fromCotswold Lavender to beautiful public and private gardens. We meet at 10 am at each of our venues, and stay until about 4. Bring what you need for painting or sketching, and a picnic which we generally eat together at lunch time.

In 1898 the third Baron de Ferrieres, a former Mayor and MP for Cheltenham, gave 43 important paintings, mostly from Belgium and the Netherlands, to the town, together with £1000 towards the buildingof a gallery in which to house them. This was opened in 1899. In 1905 the Schools of Art and Science left the premises they occupied next door to the Art Gallery, and the Museum was opened in these rooms two years later.

Carnd'ache demonstration Saturday 13th September 10-4pm at Highbury Church hall. Lots of their products being demonstrated: pastel pencils, watercolour pencils, coloured pencils, neocolour, neopastel(oil), pastel cubes and graphite products by artist Robin Gray.
