About the Business
Philip Oliver has been operating from the Tynedale Gallery for six years now and as he was born in the nearby village of Corbridge, he is very much 'at home' painting and offering customers a frame making service in his popular gallery in the Hencotes area of Hexham.
After an industrial background, Philip decided to focus upon his artistic talent and gained a place at Sunderland College of Art where his subjects ranged from technical illustration, natural history and model-making. On graduation Philip worked as a freelance illustrator/designer, completing artwork for major advertising agencies ranging from advertising washing powders to machinery and even posters for a major bus company.
