About the Business
She has been professionally painting the Cornish Landscape and seascapes for over 15 years and has sold worldwide from her waterfront studio in Falmouth and through the many exhibitions she has had around Cornwall.
Her inspiration comes from the Newlyn School of Artists such as Henry Scott Tuke and Stanhope Forbes and the like, she loves painting the wild flowers and the rugged coastline and Beaches that surround the beautiful county she lives in, trying to capture the essence of the ever changing landscape through different light that the seasons has to offer.
Sophi enjoys the challenge of trying to bring to life reflections and movement of water in her seascapes whether it be on wet sand or the water itself and giving the illusion of currents and ripples using different techniques she has mastered with Acrylics and the occasional watercolur and oil.
