About the Business
I am a contemporary visual artist who paints the modern British seaside. Having lived in Great Yarmouth for the past 19 years, I have long been surrounded by all the colourful sights of the traditional seaside holiday - things like buckets and spades, ice creams, hot dogs, fish and chip shops, fun fairs and amusement arcades - and I try to capture them in a way that is modern and realistic, while at the same time acknowledging the inherent nostalgia they evoke. As an artist, I am above all interested in colour, realism and capturing the very essence of my subject.
Though recently Great Yarmouth and the seaside have been the main inspiration for my work, I am also a keen ballroom dancer and have painted a series of pictures of my favourite dances. These are currently available to purchase in print form, while in the main gallery you can find original works for sale.
