About the Business
Godfrey and Watt was established in 1985 by artist Alex Godfrey and designer Mary Godfrey. We specialise in showing some of the finest work by British artists and makers. We have developed long-standing relationships with many of the artists who have exhibited with us regularly. We closed our town centre gallery in Westminster Arcade in Harrogate in April 2010 after 25 very busy years so that Alex could spend more time developing his own work (as Alex Malcolmson), but Godfrey & Watt lives on as an online gallery, continuing to represent and occasionally exhibit work by a small group of artists. The gallery is only open by appointment. We usually keep a small stock of work, mostly prints. We also hold occasional exhibitions at our home in Harrogate usually just before Christmas.
