About the Business
Bath Contemporary is situated in a beautiful, grade II listed Georgian building in the heart of Bath. With almost 100 square meters of gallery, we are extremely proud of our light and airy space, especially our atrium gallery to the rear of the building. Both our director Bridget Sterling and our Gallery Assistant Oliver Adams have a masters degree in Fine Art and both are passionate about supporting both established and emerging artists. We set the benchmark pretty high though, looking for what in our opinion is work that shows not only talent but an inquisitiveness, intelligence and originality.
We also believe in supporting education and work in partnership with Bath Spa University offering three fine art students work experience as part of their Professional Practice Module every year. We work with The Holburne Museum's volunteer programme as well, offering those interested in exploring a career in the commercial sector the opportunity to gain experience in a commercial environment.
