About the Business

My practice is concerned with man's relationship to nature, our relevance and paradoxically our irrelevance to it, thus questioning man's significance and nature's predominance. I am interested in the juxtaposition between our desire to reconnect with nature, our "want of the wild", and our "un-connection" to it. I investigate where man has manipulated nature for his needs, how it has been tamed and cultivated, but also where nature prevails and starts to reclaim a space. My studio practice is currently based in Dumfries & Galloway, south west Scotland.
